Spray-on clothing

Have you heard about this? Clothing in a can!
Point the aerosol can at someone, press the button, and out comes a spray of fibres that cling together on the recipient to become clothing. Once removed, the clothing can be laundered and re-worn.
Brand named Fabrican, the product was developed at The Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine in London, UK. Made from polymer, the resulting fabric looks to my eyes like a slightly rubbery, clingy knit. On our TV news, I saw a model peel off her sprayed-on t-shirt.
The product is expected to have applications in medicine and industry, as well of course in fashion design.
When spraying it reminds me of Silly String, that kids’ “toy” that sprays a continuous stream of coloured liquid that instantly becomes a sort of rubbery string. I can see a future for spray-on clothing parties.
