Siteframe Installation

  • Download the latest stable version of “Siteframe” from the official website.
  • Upload the archive to a document root of a domain you want install Siteframe to
  • Extract files in cPanel File Manager
  • Create a MySQL database for Siteframe installation
  • Create a file named setup.ini under the main Siteframe directory and copy the content of the file siteframe.ini-dist to that file. Edit the content (database info, site name, site owner, etc.) according to your needs.
  • Using your browser, go to the location of your newly uploaded files:
http://www.yourdomain.com/setup.php  

Once you access the above address, the installation wizard will be launched. Follow the step by step instructions.

  • Once the setup steps have been completed, the “setup.php” file can be removed.

Managing/Using Siteframe

Administrative Backend

To manage “Siteframe”, you will have to login using the administrator’s username and password already created upon the installation phase. After a successful login, click on the “Administration” link under the left menu to access the administrator’s panel.

Configuration

The configuration section contains the main functions to control your website. You can create a new administrator, maintain the categories created change the website name, email address, URL, etc. In addition to that, you can maintain the file types that are uploaded to the site and access the extended properties section to tune up advanced settings.

Contact

The contact section has everything related to your clients. You can send them emails, send online notes, unsubscribe any member, etc. In addition to that, you can register your website on siteframe.org and even send them feedback on the script in order to better improve it.

Maintenance

The famous section in all CMS where you access it to maintain all the activity and functionality of your site. In Siteframe, you can clear the activity log, and the session log. You can also switch your site to Maintenance mode for your clients to know that your site is under maintenance and that they can’t access it at the moment. This section may also be used to upload a file to your site.

Reports

Reports are extremely important to every site administrator and with Siteframe, you have that option. You are able to see the activity log, the recent visitors logs, the referrers to your site and the visits per day chart and report.

Templates

To make your site look unique, you will have to change its default theme and that what the templates section in Siteframe enables you to do. Using the template functions, you can import already created templates or you can use your html skills to design your own website.
