Dear codeman5022,

Almost all current billing systems are fine with automation and integration to cPanel.
The other question is the question of price.
Such branded software as WHMAutoPilot, WHMCompleteSollution or ModernBill need a license to b purchased.

What we can suggest you is phpcoin, it`s free. However we cannot tell for sure whether it is automated or if it can be integrated to cPanel.
You are supposed to have it in Fantastico in your cPanel, so there shouldn`t be any problems with installing it.

If you don`t like it much, we have another option for you: an upgrade to one of our new reseller plans.
All of them offer a free WHMAP license for now, so this may be a nice way out for you.

The reseller plans have many features that are not found in the shared hosting plans. If you have a few domains to manage, even if you're not actually "reselling", a reseller plan is a much better choice. It allows you to manage all your accounts from a single login, and you can choose to assign differing quotas to each cPanel account.

I've used a reseller account for years. I would never go back to a shared hosting account.

i'm starting an online game hosting company and will be offering web hosting as part of the packages and also to my clients that i design websites for so the whb platinum reseller plan fit perfectly with my plans. it offers more than what you get with most dedicated servers and for a third of the cost. I just needed a good billing system that I could integrate with my system that was inexpensive or free. since the plan comes with whmap(at least thats how i understand it), it makes things so much easier and cheaper. the best part is i already have a strong enough client base that I can sign up for the platinum reseller plan at no cost to me

I agree, the reseller plans are good value.

Remember that, as a reseller, you are responsible for your clients' behaviour on the server. If your client sends spam or installs an insecure script that destabilizes the server, your are responsible and WHB may have to suspend your account if you do not correct the situation quickly enough. As a reseller, you are expected to provide support and guidance to your clients to prevent such things from occurring. They are your clients, not WHB's clients.

The benefit to my business is that my clients are mainly small businesses and have me do everything to their sites because they either don't understand how anything works or they don't have the time.

When it comes to the game hosting and giving web space to them it gets a little tricky keeping up with them but I do have programs that I can run from one of my dedicated servers to crawl the sites that I host to monitor the content on each site.

Good, it sounds as though you are monitoring what your clients do on the server. That's important.

Yup,

about 6 years ago I had an online game hosting company ( Fiber Optic Game Hosting) and we were one of the premier game hosting companies on the net. within 3 months we had over 20 dedicated servers across the US and 6 in Canada.

Since we had so many clients I had to create scripts to check the content of all the servers and luckily I held on to them. I wish I would have kept the company open but my partner died in a car accident and I kind of just gave everything up. Looking back now that was pretty stupid.

Hopefully I will be able to recreate what we did back then but it might be tough since there are so many hosts out there now.

If you want to succeed in hosting, the best advice I can give you is: don't compete based on price. Competing based on price is a losing game. There will always be someone cheaper, and cut-rate hosting attracts a lot of problem clients who have no loyalty. This is a lesson that WHB has learned, and is why they are gradually raising their prices to attract a better class of client.

Compete based on good service and anything that can differentiate you from other hosts. For example, your previous focus on game hosting sets you apart. Providing reliable hosting and good service will engender loyal clients who will forgive the occasional technical problem, while price-based hosting will attract clients who cause the problems.
