After being here nearly three years, I can say that I'm relatively satisfied with the service I've received here at WHB. I signed up back in July 2006 for the shared $2.95/month plan, which was an excellent deal back then.
However, due to a few stringent policy changes to the AUP (in particular, the cron limit), I'll be moving to a new host. While there were a few frustrations here and there, this has been a fairly positive experience overall. I would most definitely recommend WHB to any prospective web developer on a low budget. |

Hi,
Thank you for your review and I am pleased your experience has been a positive one. Which AUP restrictions have you found too restrictive? Please PM me on this, the feedback would be appreciated.

I think he mentioned the cron limit. I have no idea what my cron limit might be.

According to point 5 of our AUP:
Running cron scripts with intervals of less than 15 minutes, or setting up more than 5 simultaneous cron jobs is strictly prohibited

That's for budget and reseller hosting.
As for business (point6), running cron scripts with intervals of less than 10 minutes is prohibited

well, i hope u find a site that allows more cron jobs, but i think limit 5 is good enough for me.. I do not even use cached or cron jobs as much as possible.. because it will not only make other members slower.. but also make my site slower since shared hosting are basically sharing at a high load..
hope admins can help you with ur cron limit. and keep staying. |
