Thread: What happened webhostingbuzz.com

    Default What happened webhostingbuzz.com

webhostingbuzz.com i remeber 18 months ago i read through these forums with all sorts of compliments however it only takes a quick look at the forum webhostingbuzz.com to see all the complaints it seems you have so many complaints that your support site is crashing and draging down the VPS network with it.

From this forum i was my basis to join with your company but now after a very difficult year with failed support/service continuously, after being told i need to upgrade to this expensive serve since i have high email demands and now having this option fail i am ready to leave.

Additionally as i read through here it my only comfort is that i am not the only disappointed customer so my question is simple what happened ???? the first three months worked fine now its just a mess and has been for six months like every on here say since may things have just not been working well

I am a forgiving person however 6 months of headache is enough. I believe webhostingbuzz.com is a good company but this is a warning to those new customers for webhostingbuzz.com.

Maybe you should wait another three months and read these forums again and see if the complaints have reduced as for now it feels as if us the existing customers are being neglected for the chance of webhostingbuzz.com to expand its business

I HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO MAKE NEW POSTS SINCE I'VE COMPLETELY CHANGED MY MIND AND I'M PISSED.

MY SERVERS HAVE BEEN DOWN FOR HOURS THIS MORNING. I UNDERSTAND THERE IS AN ISSUE BUT I HAVE SO MANY E-COMMERCE CLIENTS THAT ARE SO UPSET.

I'M OVER IT...I'M MOVING TO ANOTHER RESELLER ACCOUNT AS WE SPEAK.

The support has actually been fast and great for me but since moving some of my urls I've had problems with sites being really slow, and the shared ips being marked as spammers. I moved some of my clients here for the cpanel, right now I have the majority of my sites on bluehost.com which have always been very fast for me.

I'm starting to spend money on dedicated IPs for the mail issue. Anyone have any other comments? I have one new client that I'm looking incredibly bad for because the site is slow and all the email problems.

I couldn't have said it better myself.

A year ago to the day my account was suspended for hosting MP3 and FLA files (to which I own the copyrights to) on my account. It took 5 days to unsuspend the account. I removed the files in question and signed up for hosting at another company where I've been hosting these files with 100% uptime till today.

To save me from the emberesmant of having my site visitors greeted by the dreaded Website unavailable message that WHB likes to put up when the account is suspended without a warning I started hosting a mirror copy of my website on the other provider as well. A simple change in my DNS server and the website is back up and running for most of the visitors within minutes.

It is a good thing that I did this because today my account was suspended again. This time due to "consuming more than it's fair share of server CPU/Processor and Memory resources".
The website is nothing more than a wordpress blog with standard wordpress plugins. It generates around 500 visitors per day. I don't understand how it could be using up so much resources to warrent a suspension without a warning.

Now the waiting game begins I replied to the suspension email 1.5 hours ago agreeing that i would remove my wordpress and replace it with a simple HTML page. Let's see how long it takes the account suspension to be lifted. I can't seem to remove the scripts as apperantly WHB feels that suspending an account means not giving the webmaster access to fix the problem.

My WHB subscription is expiring soon and let's just say I will not be renewing it.

WHB is great if you want nothing more than a basic HTML website with an image or two, make sure the images are not too big otherways you might get suspended for resource abuse.
If you require PHP, Perl or any other scripting language that requires some processing I suggest you keep looking at other hosting providers, you will not like it here.

Did your issue get resolved? 7 hours is usually not the norm even when it comes to account abuse issues. We have separate staff member specifically dealing with such cases.

Make sure that you have opened up a support ticket in WebHostingBuzz Help Desk. I have also alerted the current shift manager to get this looked at.

This is entirely out of proportion. You must remember that one unhappy customer will shout a lot louder then 100s of happy customers. We have 10s of thousands of clients and we see a few unhappy ones here? That still leaves a lot of happy ones.

We created this forum to interact with clients so the can give us feedback on performance. We do this because we care and are constantly striving to offer the best performance.

Our average ticket response time is in minutes. We have a bigger customer service/tech support team per server ratio than anyone else I know in the business. And our pricing has been ultra-competitive since day one.

I have been out of town this week but I have not seen any problems accessing the helpdesk or the internal server that it is hosted on. It also doesn't and cannot crash any VPS server. This is impossible.

Please PM me privately with helpesk ticket IDs if you would like me to look into your issues.

Would you rather that we let servers get hammered with resource intensive software/scripts and affected performance?

Good software/scripts are fine. Some Wordpress modules can single handedly crash a server - we've seen it happen many times. We even have a section in our AUP specifically about Wordpress.

Very true. People that are happy don't post.

These days it's especially important to remember this in product reviews. For every one person that posts "This is the worst washing machine I've ever had!", you gotta figure there's 1000 other satisfied owners of the same machine.

Things happen. Problems happen. I've been with WHB through enough of their growing pains that I have had plenty of problems happen to me! I've seen them go from not even having a phone number to having someone pick up the phone within seconds when I had some alarming issues with a website at work. I had a month where the server was down several hours at a time, and often. I also had a friend of mine download a video I posted (that I had taken myself earlier that day) at 10 MEGABYTES per SECOND sustained. (115 megabyte file was downloaded in just about 11 seconds). What I have noticed is that WHB cares more about their customers than perhaps any other web host I know. Network Solutions may have someone on call 24 hours a day, but I have to call about the stupidest things. Hostmonster may have someone on call 24 hours a day as well, but their scripting department, emailed me in response to a question telling me my script had a scripting problem.... this was several hours after I had fixed the script in question- it merely needed its permissions changed and it worked perfectly. Sure, WHB has its down times, but like a friend, they're always there with you at the end of the day. You know if you had a bad day, someone over there did too, and I bet if you had a good day, someone at WHB got a pat on the back. There's a sense of community and involvement here that I have not seen anywhere else, and for this reason, I stay.
