Nope, I'm afraid not and it is unlikely they will either. Thank the UK government and the backwards data retention laws for that.

We do have plans for European hosting at a fairly advanced stage but our base of operations will either be Luxembourg, France or Germany.

Unhappy is VSP right for us

Hi Matt, we are hosted by WHB but keep having our site taken offline due to "fair usage" issues. Site is www.theponytackshop.co.uk.

    We are trying to resolve.

We seem to be being ushered towards VPS as the solution- is it?

We are very small UK business- couple of sales per day on the site so confused why B-lite is not sufficient.

Incidentally, the online chat guys have been robo helpfull today.

    Can you help?

    Steve

    Hi Steve,

First of all let me apologize for the problems you are facing with and for the misunderstanding. You are not forced to move to VPS plan if you do not wish to.

Your account was the one that was causing high load on the server and that is why it was suspended. Later on during the communication with our technical staff you were provided with the exact reason why your account was recognized as resource intensive and asked to resolve the poblem. As for the second suspend - we do apologize for that, it was done by mistake.
We will be monitoring your account but can you please check all the plugins of the script you are using on your site. If you have some questions do not hesitate to get back to us in the ticket.

Thanks for your reply. In truth I am personally not clear on why our site is suddenly causing these problems having been running with you for some months without any problems at all. We have not made any changes to the site at our end and your guys told us today you have not made any changes to the server.

Moving on, our web developer will again speak with your team in the morning to try and get this sorted. It would be great if one of your people could drop he and I an email over the next eight hours ( its bed time in the UK now) summarising exactly what you believe the problem is. We seem to have had 3 different "tickets" today all with bits of information and it would be great to get the bottom line from your perspective. Please don;t just suspend the site again before talking to us.

Thanks again and as I said earlier your online chat guys were magnificent earlier today and up until this problem our service from you has been super..
