Steve,

Your site has remained unsuspended since we started communicating (and is available, I checked). I checked the helpdesk and we're still waiting to hear back from you or your web designer. Please keep communication on account specific issues like this to the helpdesk.

Default I hear that but..

This was a message to your team yesterday on ticket HMM-498106. We have had no response to this. I wrote to the ticket 3hrs ago and have heard nothing

"We use ezPublish which is a php CMS. Mysql connections are open and closed as they are needed and it is a stateless application. The setup mainly pulls the websites information from cache files to minimise the load on the server however some calls are still run live as they are needed.

We had a corrupted cache file that was causing a 500 error on the home page. It was stopping before it had completed and left connections open. This has been fixed. We are going to instigate a weekly cron task that cleans all the chase files and rebuilds them. This will prevent this form happening again.

Is there something specifically I can tell you or do for you to help resolve the issue."

Our site is offline and online like a yo-yo- right now its online. I'm just trying to get it sorted so its up and stay's up. If the move to VPS is the only answer then great but lets clarify if the site problems are resolved from your perspective.

Steve

Recently, I received below message. My forum website is not a busy traffic, but yet I get this message. Now my forum is temporarily disable, and anybody can help on what should I do?

anything can be done to my forum to heal it before I take VSP?

Dear Customer,

During a recent server audit on sd1.whbdns.com we have found your account 'ruaikita' consuming more than
it's fair share of server CPU/Processor and Memory resources.
This results in sub-par server performance and is a violation of our Acceptable Usage Policy.
Your account appears to be resource intensive by nature and 9 times out of 10,
It is down to the software and/or scripts used.
This is the first suspension incident for this account so we will give
you a chance to fix the resource issue.
You must reply to this ticket and confirm you understand this and will do this,
and we will unsuspend your account.
Continual high resource usage may result in additional suspensions and we may require you to
upgrade to a VPS package which is designed for heavier accounts.
Additional information about this problem:

I'm not pointing the finger at you, but we've seen clients claim that and then it has turned out that they indeed were the ones causing the problem. Just because you say you have low traffic sites does not mean you are immune from causing problems.

It isn't simply an issue of the amount of traffic. Even a low-traffic site can cripple the server by using an insecure or poorly-written script, or by allowing download or streaming of huge files. Too many clients install things without really understanding them and without checking for their effect on the server.

Do pruning the old post helps?

Thank you.

Default response to Johnny

Hi Johnny, yes that is essentially what happened to me. I then spent 5 days trying to resolve- it was upsetting, sressfull, time consuming and very bad for business.
We have now moved to VPS, and yes it is more expensive, and are going to see how that goes for a few months. After a bad start the WHB guys started to help me so we did get there in the end.
Recommendations from me would be to
-use the Ticket system and once you get given a number only use that number in all correspondence
- also use the online chat facility for speedeir updates
-if they think the move to VPS is what you need then its probably worth doing it and then giving yourself time to review whether the cost makes sense.

Best,

Steve

Steve, thanks for the explaination. I've done the pruning but yet the problem sometimes occurs. I am using the old version of PhpBb.

What if I upgrade and using phpBB3?
