If you want to succeed in hosting, the best advice I can give you is: don't compete based on price. Competing based on price is a losing game. There will always be someone cheaper, and cut-rate hosting attracts a lot of problem clients who have no loyalty. This is a lesson that WHB has learned, and is why they are gradually raising their prices to attract a better class of client.

Compete based on good service and anything that can differentiate you from other hosts. For example, your previous focus on game hosting sets you apart. Providing reliable hosting and good service will engender loyal clients who will forgive the occasional technical problem, while price-based hosting will attract clients who cause the problems.
